At our recent Wantoks & Wine event in Sydney, we debuted our 2024 video sharing our work in 2024.

Decades long commitment of community leader, former Parliamentarian and Minister for Community Development, and one of PNG’s strongest education advocates, Dame Carol Kidu DBE AO, has established the Centre including the Sir Buri Kidu Library; that is now also home to KTF's Pari & Taurama FODE Centre, providing vital second chance high school opportunities to 108 students from the local community.

Round 2 of the Light 4 Learning (L4L) program which installs solar light and energy systems into communities attached to KTF’s education program was completed in May 2023. KTF recently sent in teams to complete in-depth interviews with program participants to evaluate the sustainability, effectiveness, impact, relevance, coherence and efficiency of the Light for Learning program.

Last week, Kokoda College celebrated its largest-ever graduating cohort with 185 students graduating; including 72 students reaching the Grade 12 level. There were history-making scenes at the Mt Koiari FODE Centre in Manari, who celebrated the graduation of 38 students, marking the first Grade 12 graduation on the Kokoda Track.
