KTF delivers first-ever solar infrastructure to the Kokoda catchment!
More than 200 second-chance secondary students at Kokoda College can now access reliable, renewable energy with the launch of a solar mini-grid for the campus. This pioneer solar infrastructure project for Oro Province is possible through a partnership between KTF and the Australian Government, launched last year through the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) Off-Grid Renewable Energy Partnerships.

Motu Koitabu students forge new pathways
A major milestone was marked last week for hundreds of students across Motu Koitabu villages studying Flexible Open Distance Education (FODE) with KTF.
173 students from Hanuabada, Pari, Taurama and surrounding communities gathered at the Ruatoka Memorial Hall to celebrate successfully completing their Grades 9 to 12 studies, the next step on their education journey.

Ambitious Off-grid Solar Project Underway in Morobe Province
Through the Australian Government’s Pawarim Komuniti Partnership program, international development organisation Kokoda Track Foundation (KTF) is helping to bridge the energy gap by installing sustainable, compact and powerful solar light and energy systems across the remote Huon Gulf District of Morobe Province as the third phase of the Light for Learning project. Follow-up visits by KTF teams assess the Impact of the Light 4 Learning Program in villages in Oro & Western Province!
